Our company was founded in 2004. To this day, we have been able to grow into one of the world’s largest manufacturers of sublimation technology for textile textiles. To ensure the best quality and convenience of our products, we closely monitor trends and actively develop new innovations together with leading sports clubs and textile professionals. Originally, the company intended to focus only on the production of hockey textiles. Ice hockey is still the most popular among our customers, but our range has also expanded to a number of other sectors such as floorball, football, basketball, cycling and roller skating. The JER53Y brand is registered in 15 different countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Italy, USA, Canada and Japan.

Our main factory is located in the Czech Republic, but our store in Finland is located in Tampere, Pirkka, Veska shopping center.

Our company has collectively more than 5 000 m² of production area within all our sites with upwards of 180 employees. We prepare daily orders for shipments to the whole world for a variety of sports. Our product development center is constantly working on new products, specialist cuts and generally the overall design and features of many sportswear. The finished products need the world’s best suppliers of quality substrates, such as substances (imported mainly from Italy) including high-quality yarns and fabrics that assist us with the end product and due to this our clothing is known for its quality and durability. The production of jerseys and other sportswear from sports beginners to demanding athletes is a breeze for us!
Thanks to cooperation with professional athletes and sports enthusiasts, we have been at the cutting edge of the development of garments designed for demanding physical activity that can be relied upon for more than fourteen years. At the same time, we also think of recreational athletes and fans, for whom we produce a variety of accessories and souvenirs (hats, bags, backpacks, scarves, stickers, pendants, and others). But our activities do not end.
We think it is important for the future of Finnish sport to grow a new generation of active athletes. We support this new generation by sponsoring multi-species athletes and teams worldwide.
Our company is expanding not only through the generations locally but also geographically: our representation can be found in more than fifteen countries and available across nine different languages. We organize regular meetings together with our fellow world representatives to discuss the future development of our products and the company’s direction so that we can always offer you the best customer services in the sports clothing industry.
We are a constantly progressing company including the modernizing of technology and equipment. In 2016 we expanded our main hub to include a smaller production hall of 800 m² which in 2017 we bought new cutting-edge machines that increased the performance of our production which has helped us grow from strength to strength.
Our growth as a company constantly allows us to increase our team of experienced graphic designers that cater to all our customers so that you continue to receive quality designs and constant consideration. We believe that cooperation between ourselves and our customers is not only for one season or one job and that we will always strive to do everything that will make this cooperation easier and faster and more importantly for a long-term partnership. HISTORY

Every big business starts with small steps and every big company started with a small circle of enthusiasts.
At the turn of 80. and 90. of the last century, it was also the case of two students of the hockey school in Brno Úvoz, where Tomáš Vorel and Martin Roupec had no idea that they would someday become business partners, and that in the hockey business, they would take on strong, international roots.

While Tomáš, after school, pioneered the new team sport – Floorball, became a player of the Brno Bulldogs and was one of the first floorball representatives of the Czech Republic, Martin stayed for hockey and donned a jersey of several Moravian clubs. A meeting after years in Scotland, where Tomáš owned a sporting goods store and where Martin worked as a youth coach, it acted as a catalyst since they both returned to the Czech Republic and in 2004 together established a company whose main essence became a production of custom-made ice hockey jerseys and other sportswear.

Jer53y arrived to Finland in year 2010. A professional ice hockey goalie for over 10 years, Sasu Hovi got a sparkle to start a business while playing in Czech top team Kometa Brno. Back in the days sublimation was quite new and changing the whole field of textile printing, but it still hadn’t landed its feet to Finland.
At first, the company worked in the same space with local company Kiekkobussi, until the move to Sammonkatu street – just next to ”the Great Wall of China”, a famous building in Tampere. Nowadays, our store is located on the 2nd floor of shopping center Veska, in the district of Pirkkala.

Today, the production of jerseys is the primary focus of the Jersey Team 53, which now comprises more than 170 employees. But together with the production of sports jerseys go hand in hand the production and design of a wide range of sports accessories and equipment such as hats, gloves, jackets, Bags and backpacks, towels and carpets. The specialty is then changing the offer of fan items of various price categories, made of many materials, most commonly from PVC, textiles, glass, and metal.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

The basic motivation of our company is to make the products available to users who are actively engaged in sport, regardless of their category. That is why we are constantly working on expanding our assortment, enriching sports categories and optimizing existing offerings. Before the final sports jersey is revealed to the public, it is necessary to check the properties and behavior of the materials of the cut during the difficult movement, to test its limits and to fine-tune the shortcomings. Our research centre serves to this end. Despite all the science, production and effort of all our employees, it may happen that you encounter a latent defect or an individual problem; Thank you for helping us to discover imperfections and contribute to the active development and improvement of sports jerseys and their accessories. We’re just human beings and like in sports, even the professionals are not 100% perfect, from time to time.
